Phil is a versatile violinist, violist, performer and string arranger based in London, committed to creating across the musical spectrum.

He has performed and recorded with the likes of The Arctic Monkeys,  Bjork, Bonobo and Pulp, as well as ensembles such as The Britten Sinfonia, Aurora, and The Welsh National OperaSession experience includes playing for Isobel Griffiths, London Contemporary Orchestra and Orchestrate.
 
Since 2019 he has toured, arranged for and recorded extensively with British singer-songwriter, Jack Savoretti

He is also founder and artistic director of Phaedra Ensemble, a collective built around string quartet with a focus on contemporary chamber music and innovative performance. Recent collaborations include Gavin Bryars, Meredith Monk, Laura Jurd and Leo Chadburn.
